98 % Cotton 2 % Lycra CANDIANI, Italy. Fabric manufacturer Candiani is celebrated in the fashion world as one of the finest denim fabric manufacturers. Founded in 1938 near Milan, the family business is now in the hands of the fourth generation, Alberto Candiani. In addition to an emphasis on the highest quality accociated with the history of Italian textile production, Candiani places sustainability and regenerative agriculture at its forefront. Their cotton grows exlusively without the use of pesticides, fertilizers and other chemicals, making them proud holders of the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certificate, one of the most prestigious certifications for organic textiles.
The mill located in the Ticino Nature Reserve Park far exceeds today's organic production standards, making it the greenest denim producer in the world.
